My sustenance in the past few weeks has been heavily sugar-centric. I was able at one point to go off sugar cold turkey but my baking obsession is in the way. This can not be good for my health!
Today i will begin to eat those lovely apples that I bought because I convinced myself that I could choose them over sugar. I am so weak. I will eat them raw. I will not cover them in butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and oats and bake them until they are sweet, warm and mushy with a crispy top covered in vanilla ice cream. Oh no I won't!
The apple is burning my retinas... that can't be good.

wow, thanks for the note. I actually live in Exeter, I too moved to the country to be with my love!! I love your handbags too, I'd love one with a dachshund!!
The bags are customizable so if you want me to try a dachshund graphic (which I think would be totally adorable) I can email it to you and then you can decide!
Are you from London? I grew up there but I love the country... I really want a donkey too but it may be a bit much for a new country girl :)
I'm from California/Florida. I met my spouse online almost 7 years ago and moved here so we could get legally married( same sex!!). Whoooo Hooooo. The country has taken some getting used to, I'm more of a big city girl.
I'd love for you to try a dachshund. I wonder if you could put two on a bag. I have two dachsunds, a black and tan smooth and a wirehair( with a beard).
I love California... I could see how there would be a huge change involved. I'm so excited, you are my first female "friend" with a wife! How cool!
If you have a photo of your two dachshunds send it to me and I will work from there (if not I can find generic photos but the spots may be off :)
You can email me at catherine@clevermonkey.biz
Hey, I'm back from London. I saw the hemp oil and seeds at Loblaws( fanshawe), but I didnt buy it. The oil was 10.99 and a bag of seeds was 7.99. I think I've seen the seeds at Bulk Barn so I'd like to buy a small bit just to check them out. I'll need to do some more research before I invest in the oil.
I think I may try the seeds as well. I'm assuming that you can grind them and use them as you would flax seed? The oil is pricey but I'm still curious to taste it.
I was looking at your site last night and there are a ton of recipes that I want to try. You seem to have a thriving business!
I got the puppy photo too (and I grabbed a few from your site as well)... how cooooot! I love their noses!
Maybe you'd be interested in splitting a bottle of the oil?
I was actually working in London ( baking for a caterer)until Monday. I went into work and he said " My accountant says I can't afford to keep you". Poof, my job is OVER. I was really enjoying it too. Back to the want ads I guess.
I think splitting a bottle would be great!
It's sad to lose a job without notice, especially one that you actually like... rare in itself.
Years ago I had considered going back to school to bake (I really enjoy it but could use more skills although I have been getting a lot of practice :) but found a job as a designer and have been doing that since. I'm still not sure if I could be an early riser, professional baker though (although I did get up at 6am today and feel pretty good... until about 4pm).
Thats what was great about the job. I didnt have to get there until 10am. I also didnt have to work on weekends. It was perfect for me, plus the stuff I was baking was selling like hotcakes( great for the ego).
Do you work at home or in London?
